🧪 Technology Iot Development Simulation
Interactive 3D simulator for IoT edge message-queue backpressure: sensors publish into a broker buffer, a consumer drains it at a fixed throughput, and publishers throttle — or messages get dropped — once the buffer fills past a safety watermark.
Sensors in an IoT fleet publish continuously into a broker's message buffer, but a downstream consumer can only drain it at a fixed rate — when publishing outpaces draining, the buffer fills, the broker throttles publishers back once a watermark is crossed, and messages are dropped outright if the buffer still overflows. This simulator renders the sensor ring, the buffer as a grid of fillable slots, and the consumer in 3D, with live inbound and outbound message particles, and lets you tune the publish rate, consumer throughput, buffer capacity and backpressure watermark to see exactly when a queue stays healthy, when it throttles, and when it starts losing data.
This simulation focuses on the development process for IoT applications. Users will learn about device programming, data management, and security protocols within a simplified 2D environment.
