🧪 Iot Iot Platform Simulation
Interactive 3D IoT platform simulator: provision a device fleet, watch each device publish sensor messages into a central hub, and see the hub's message queue behave as a real M/M/1 queue -- with live queue depth, latency and drop-rate readouts.
This simulator models the core of any IoT platform: a fleet of devices publishing sensor data into a central hub that ingests it through a message queue. Provision devices with the slider and watch each one animate through onboarding before it starts publishing; every message it sends travels visibly to the hub and either joins the queue or, when the hub falls behind, gets dropped. The queue itself follows a real M/M/1 queueing model, so raising the fleet size or publish rate past the hub's processing capacity produces the same backlog, latency spike and drop-rate curve you would see in a real MQTT broker or cloud IoT ingestion endpoint — with live readouts for queue depth, average latency, drop rate and server utilization (ρ = λ/μ).
This simulation demonstrates the functionality of an Internet of Things (IoT) platform. It showcases how a central hub manages and controls connected devices, illustrating concepts like device provisioning and data processing.
