EVA Spacewalk Biomonitoring Dashboard

Interactive 3D EVA biomonitoring simulator: drive an astronaut's workload during a spacewalk and watch heart rate, core temperature and suit O2 respond in real time through the same heat-balance and Karvonen heart-rate models mission control uses, while a telemetry downlink streams the readings to a relay antenna.

During a real spacewalk, mission control watches an astronaut's heart rate, core temperature and suit consumables in real time over a bandwidth-limited biotelemetry downlink — the same triage a flight surgeon runs continuously through the EVA. This simulator renders a 3D astronaut tethered near a station truss, driving their metabolic workload through four realistic activity levels while a heat-balance model tracks core temperature against the suit's liquid-cooling-garment water flow, a Karvonen heart-rate model tracks cardiac response, and the primary O2 tank depletes at a rate set by metabolic oxygen consumption. Streaming pulses along the downlink to a relay antenna show the telemetry link itself, complete with a data-rate control that visibly slows or speeds the stream, and the status ring escalates from green to amber to red exactly as a real biomedical alarm tier would.
