Rain & Puddle Accumulation (2D)

2D rain simulator: droplets fall at size-scaled terminal velocity, puddle depth rises from rainfall minus drainage, and impacts spawn decaying ripple rings.

This is the 2D companion to the 3D Rain & Puddles simulation: a plain canvas view built around two measurable quantities a real rainstorm produces — how fast puddles fill, and how impacts ripple across them. Droplets fall at a size-scaled terminal velocity, the ground puddle rises and falls as rainfall competes with drainage, and every impact spawns a physically decaying ripple ring. Click the sky for an extra burst of drops, or click the ground for an instant splash.

⚙ Under the hood
