🌦️ Weather & Ecology Scene in 3D

The same weather-state model as the 2D version — sun, clouds, rain, snow, storm, fog and lightning — now a real orbitable atmosphere over a living terrain.

This 3D companion drives the exact same weather-state model as the 2D version — a set of named weather types (sunny, cloudy, rain, snow, storm, fog, lightning, calm) each carrying its own default temperature, precipitation intensity and wind speed — but instead of a flat DOM widget with a fixed lookup table of readings, the scene is a real orbitable landscape: drifting cloud clusters built from clustered low-poly spheres, thousands of individually simulated rain or snow particles that fall, drift with the wind and wrap back to the top, a directional sun light and sky color that shift with cloud cover and storm intensity, procedurally placed pine trees that sway in the wind, volumetric fog tied to visibility, and randomly timed lightning bolts with a real flash during storms.

The temperature, precipitation-intensity and wind-speed sliders stay live and independent of the eight weather-preset buttons, so you can push a "sunny" scene into a downpour or dial a blizzard back to a light flurry and watch the readout panel respond — humidity, pressure, visibility and UV index are now derived continuously from temperature, precipitation and cloud cover instead of being read off a fixed table, so every combination of sliders produces a plausible, internally consistent reading rather than only the eight original presets.

⚙ Under the hood

3D companion to the 2D weather simulation: the same weather-type/temperature/precipitation/wind state model driving a real orbitable scene — drifting cloud clusters, particle rain and snow, directional sun lighting, volumetric fog and randomly timed lightning — with humidity, pressure, visibility and UV derived continuously rather than from a fixed lookup table.
