This simulator rolls a patch of graphene's hexagonal carbon lattice into a single-walled nanotube using the chiral indices (n, m), the same two integers materials scientists use to classify real nanotubes. Dragging n and m rebuilds the lattice, resizes the tube to its correct diameter and re-tilts the hexagon rows to the correct chiral angle, while the metallic/semiconducting classification updates from the (n − m) mod 3 rule that governs a real nanotube's band structure. A bending-strain slider curves the tube to show its mechanical flexibility, and an electron-flow toggle visualizes the difference between ballistic conduction in a metallic tube and the blocked transport of a semiconducting one.
