This simulator models limb lengthening by distraction osteogenesis — the technique, pioneered by Gavriil Ilizarov, of surgically cutting a bone and then pulling the two fragments apart gradually with an external ring fixator so the body grows new bone to fill the widening gap. You control the daily distraction rate, how that rate is split into discrete increments, and the latency period before lengthening begins, then watch a real regenerate-tissue model respond: each millimetre of new bone is tracked individually as it forms and mineralizes, with a live quality score showing how close your protocol is to the clinically optimal 1 mm/day in four 0.25 mm turns — push too fast and the regenerate stays fibrous and weak, too slow and it bridges and consolidates before you reach your target length.
