Storage rooms for flammable solvents are one of the most common fire-hazard sources in industry — not because of open flame, but because evaporating liquid quietly raises vapor concentration until it sits inside the flammable range and any spark or hot surface can ignite it. This simulator models a real storage room as a well-mixed volume with a leaking drum feeding vapor in and a mechanical exhaust fan diluting it out, integrating the standard ventilation mass-balance equation in real time. Adjust the leak severity, ambient temperature and extraction rate to watch the vapor cloud around the drum grow or thin, track live concentration in ppm and %LEL against the true lower/upper explosive limits, and test an ignition source at any moment to see whether the current mixture is too lean, inside the explosive window, or too rich to catch.

⚙ Under the hood

Model a flammable-solvent storage room where a leaking drum feeds vapor into the air and mechanical extraction dilutes it out, tracking live concentration in ppm and %LEL against real explosive-limit thresholds.
