When an industrial facility releases a toxic gas, emergency planners need one thing fast: how far does the danger reach downwind? This simulator implements the same Gaussian atmospheric dispersion model used in real hazmat consequence assessment. Set the release rate, stack height, wind speed and Pasquill–Gifford atmospheric stability class, and watch a real particle plume advect downwind while the analytic concentration field draws a live IDLH hazard boundary on the ground — the same kind of contour used to size evacuation and shelter-in-place zones around a real chemical spill.
