This 2D companion drives the same tide-cycle erosion model as the 3D version through a side-view Canvas2D scene: a sinusoidal tide line advances and retreats across the beach, progressively shrinking the castle's towers the closer and longer the water lingers near them, while a real particle system spawns and sweeps sand grains away whenever erosion is active.

Side-view 2D tide-erosion model: a rising and falling tide line progressively shrinks a sand castle's towers while a particle system sweeps grains away, driven by the same sinusoidal tide-cycle and proximity-based erosion formula as the 3D original.
