3D Wind Turbine Pitch Control Simulator
Interactive 3D wind turbine simulator: watch the blades physically pitch and the rotor spin as live wind speed drives torque, streamline particles and generator power — toggle pitch control to see the rotor overspeed without it.
Real wind turbines regulate power not by braking the generator, but by physically rotating each blade around its own axis — pitching it toward "feather" to spill lift once wind speed exceeds the rated design point. This 3D simulator models that directly: three blades pivot on individual pitch axes while the rotor spins, driven by a live wind-speed input and a bank of streamline particles flowing through the rotor plane. Toggle pitch control off to watch the same rotor overspeed instead of holding steady, the way an unregulated turbine would.
Simulate a realistic wind turbine with spinning blades that pitch (feather) in response to varying wind speeds, showing detailed airflow through the rotor.
