How it works

Each blade here is modelled as a rigid body pitching around its own radial axis, exactly like a real turbine's pitch-drive motors. Below rated wind speed the blades sit flat (0° pitch) at their most efficient angle and the rotor accelerates with wind speed. Above rated speed, the pitch mechanism rotates the blades toward "feather" — spilling lift so torque, and therefore power, plateaus instead of overspeeding the generator.

Wind speed — sets the streamline-particle speed passing through the rotor plane and drives torque on the blades.
Pitch control — with it on, blades visibly rotate toward feather above rated speed and rotor spin holds steady; switch it off and the blades stay flat, spinning faster and faster as wind keeps rising — an unrealistic overspeed real turbines never permit.
Camera orbit — auto-rotates around the nacelle so the blade pitch angle is visible from every side; drag to orbit manually at any time.

This is the same power-curve mechanism as the 2D companion simulation, but rendered as an actual pitching 3D rotor rather than a plotted curve — the blade geometry itself is what changes, not just a number.
