Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion doesn't need to burn anything or spin a boiler — it can run on nothing but a temperature difference. This simulator models the open-cycle variant: warm surface seawater is pumped into a chamber held under vacuum, where a small fraction of it flashes instantly into low-pressure steam. That steam drives a turbine and is then condensed against cold deep water drawn from hundreds of meters down, recovering the vapor as desalinated fresh water in the process. Set the surface and deep-water temperatures, choose how deep a vacuum to pull in the flash chamber, and adjust the intake flow rate to see the exact flash fraction, net electrical power (turbine output minus pumping losses), and freshwater yield the plant produces — and to find the vacuum depth where those numbers peak instead of just tracking colder and colder.
