Cities spend a large share of their municipal electricity bill keeping every streetlight burning at full brightness from dusk to dawn, whether or not anyone is on the street. This top-down simulator models a block of motion-sensing LED poles: each lamp idles at a low dim level and ramps to full brightness only when a pedestrian or vehicle enters its detection radius, then holds and fades back down once the street clears. Toggle between the adaptive network and a static always-on baseline to see the live power draw, lit-coverage percentage, and cumulative energy saved on a scrolling power graph and a street-wide illumination strip, and tune the sensor radius, idle dim floor, fade time and traffic density to explore the trade-off between coverage and consumption.
