🧪 Supply Chain Risk Management Supply Chain Simulation

Interactive 3D supply-chain resilience simulator: tune supplier diversification, safety-stock buffer and emergency sourcing against random single-supplier failures and correlated regional disasters, and watch service level, cost and buffer stock respond in real time.

A procurement network rarely fails smoothly — it fails one supplier or one region at a time, and the difference between a shrug and a shutdown is how the network was built beforehand. This simulator models six suppliers across three regions feeding a single factory: every simulated day, independent supplier failures and correlated regional disasters can cut off part of the network, and the demand that can't be served locally has to come from a safety-stock buffer or an expensive emergency spot-market purchase. Three levers — supplier diversification, buffer target and global risk climate — plus a reactive-sourcing toggle let you trade cost against resilience, while live service-level, cost and buffer readouts show exactly what that trade bought you. Animated shipment flow along the network shows the sourcing weights in motion, and a manual disaster trigger lets you stress-test a chosen strategy on demand.

⚙ Under the hood

This simulation demonstrates how supply chains can be vulnerable to disruptions and how risk management strategies mitigate these risks. It illustrates the identification of potential threats (e.g., natural disasters, supplier failures) and the implementation of contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
