Interactive corrosion simulator: acidic rain falls on a grid of metal panels and eats into them over time, with pH, temperature and pollutant concentration tunable to see how each accelerates material damage.
Airborne sulfur and nitrogen oxides dissolve into rainwater to form acid rain, a corrosive pollutant that steadily degrades exposed metal infrastructure. This simulator drops acidic droplets onto a grid of metal panels and tracks how much material each one loses over time, driven by a simplified corrosion-rate law: lower pH, higher temperature and heavier pollutant concentration all accelerate the reaction. Watch panels shrink and discolor from bare metal to rust to critical pitting as exposure accumulates, and tune pH, temperature and concentration to see which factor drives the damage fastest.
