🧪 Climate Global Warming Simulation
Interactive Earth energy-balance simulator: dial CO2 concentration, solar irradiance and aerosol cooling and watch infrared photons get trapped by the greenhouse effect, driving real radiative-forcing and global-temperature formulas.
This simulation illustrates the greenhouse effect through a real energy-balance model: infrared photons leave Earth's glowing surface and either escape to space or get absorbed and re-emitted downward by greenhouse gas molecules. Raise the CO₂ slider and watch more photons turn from escaping blue to trapped red, while the panel computes the actual radiative forcing (ΔF = 5.35·ln(CO2/280) for CO₂, plus solar and aerosol terms) and the resulting temperature anomaly using the same linear climate-sensitivity relationship (ΔT = λΔF) used in simplified climate assessments. A 150-year projection run shows how a rising CO₂ trajectory drags global temperature upward in real time.
This simulation illustrates the greenhouse effect and its impact on global temperatures. It demonstrates how increased concentrations of greenhouse gases lead to warming trends and associated climate changes.
