Water Vapor Feedback Loop (2D)

Interactive 2D diagram of the water-vapor climate feedback loop: an animated energy-flow ring, a draggable Clausius-Clapeyron saturation-pressure curve, and a live geometric-series convergence chart show how the real physics amplifies CO2 forcing into equilibrium warming.

Water vapor is the largest amplifying feedback in Earth's climate system, and this 2D diagram makes the actual mechanism legible at a glance. An animated energy-flow ring shows CO2 forcing entering the surface, splitting into outgoing infrared and evaporated water vapor, and the vapor path feeding warmth back into the surface — its particle density and speed scaling with the real Clausius-Clapeyron calculation. A second panel plots that saturation-vapor-pressure curve directly so you can drag along it and read off values, and a third panel builds the equilibrium warming as an explicit, term-by-term geometric series climbing toward the closed-form answer.
