🧪 Environmental Technology Water Treatment Simulation
Interactive coagulant-dosing jar test: destabilize suspended turbidity with alum, control mixing intensity (G) and water temperature, and watch colloids flocculate and settle under real Stokes-law and Smoluchowski kinetics while turbidity (NTU) drops live.
This simulation walks through the core unit process of drinking-water treatment: dosing a coagulant into turbid raw water, mixing it in, and watching the destabilised colloids collide, grow into flocs, and settle out of suspension. A 3D jar shows real particles responding to the coagulant dose, the mixing intensity (G value), and water temperature, while live readouts track turbidity in NTU, suspended particle count, average floc size, and how much has settled to the sludge layer — the same variables a water-treatment operator tunes at the bench before scaling a dose up to a full clarifier.
This simulation demonstrates the key steps involved in water treatment processes, from raw water intake to purified output. It highlights the importance of clean water resources.
