This 2D companion to the 3D radar cross-section simulator asks the same shaping question with a genuinely different scattering model: instead of summing flat-panel physical-optics returns from a lofted 3D airframe, it treats a top-down plan-view outline as a set of finite 2D diffracting strips and sums each edge's classical physical-optics "strip" return — a sinc-squared diffraction pattern whose echo width scales as 1/λ rather than 1/λ², and which produces genuine sidelobes instead of a smooth cosⁿθ roll-off.
