Fly-by-Wire Control Law Simulator — 2D Panel
A 2D primary-flight-display and roll-rate phase-plane view of a fly-by-wire control law: rate-command roll with bank-angle protection, a C*-style load-factor pitch law with angle-of-attack protection, and a yaw damper — toggle Normal Law vs Direct Law and watch the protection boundary bite in real time.
This is a 2D instrument-panel counterpart to the 3D fly-by-wire cockpit simulator: the same rate-command roll law, C*-style load-factor pitch law, high-angle-of-attack protection and yaw damper drive two purpose-built 2D views instead of a 3D airframe. A synthetic primary flight display shows bank and pitch attitude the way a real jet's PFD would, while a roll phase-plane plot traces bank angle against roll rate — a genuinely two-dimensional dynamical-systems view that makes the ±67° bank-angle protection wall in Normal Law directly visible as a boundary the trajectory cannot cross. Toggle Normal Law vs Direct Law to watch that wall move (and, in Direct Law, disappear) in real time.
