Deep Sea Submersible Descent

Pilot a research submersible from the sunlit surface down toward the Challenger Deep. Watch hydrostatic pressure climb, ambient sunlight vanish through the ocean's light zones, and the hull strain as you pass its rated crush depth.

This simulation pilots a research submersible on a full dive profile, from the sunlit surface to the hadal depths near the Challenger Deep. As the craft sinks, hydrostatic pressure climbs almost linearly while ambient sunlight fades exponentially through five real oceanographic light zones — sunlight, twilight, midnight, abyssal and hadal. Set a hull rating below the maximum depth and keep diving to see the hull-stress gauge climb past 100% and trigger a breach warning, the same safety margin real deep-submergence vehicles are built never to cross. Marine snow, bioluminescent drifters and a hydrothermal vent field on the seafloor mark the passage from familiar reef light to true midnight-zone darkness.
