Kite Flying in the Wind (2D)
A real tethered-kite model: a taut-line tension constraint, layered gusty wind and a chain of damped-spring tail links are integrated every frame, so the flight path — bobbing, drifting, snapping taut — is a genuine physical outcome, not a scripted loop.
This 2D companion drives the same tethered-kite mechanics as the 3D version — a taut-line tension constraint pulling the kite back once the string reaches its set length, a layered gusty wind function, and a chain of damped-spring tail links — through a plain side-on canvas view: a control panel exposes line length, base wind strength, gust intensity and tail length, and a live readout panel tracks wind speed, line tension, altitude, kite speed and whether the line is currently taut, making the physics that governs a real kite flight directly legible instead of implied by a 3D flythrough.
Real tethered-kite physics: a taut-line tension constraint, layered gusty wind, and a chain of damped-spring tail links are integrated every frame to produce the flight path.
