Hohmann Transfer Orbit Simulator

Interactive Hohmann-transfer simulator: fire two prograde burns to move a spacecraft between circular orbits and watch real delta-v and transfer-time formulas compute themselves as the elliptical transfer plays out.

This simulator lets you fly a real two-burn Hohmann transfer between any pair of circular orbits. Set a start radius and a target radius, then execute the first burn — the spacecraft leaves its circular path and coasts along a Keplerian ellipse computed and integrated frame by frame under real inverse-square gravity, not a scripted animation. When it reaches the far side of the ellipse the second burn fires automatically, circularizing the orbit at the target radius. Every number in the side panel — both delta-v magnitudes, the total propellant cost and the transfer time — comes directly from the standard Hohmann-transfer formulas, so you can see exactly how orbit spacing trades off against fuel and time.
