3D Orbital Rendezvous Simulator
Interactive 3D orbital-rendezvous simulator: plan a Hohmann transfer plus plane change to intercept a moving target station, choosing the exact phasing angle and burn timing that real chaser spacecraft compute before docking.
This simulator plans and flies a real orbital rendezvous, not just an orbit-to-orbit transfer. A target station orbits continuously in its own (optionally inclined) plane while a chaser spacecraft waits in a lower parking orbit; burning at the wrong moment gets you to the right radius with the target nowhere nearby. The side panel computes the exact phase angle the target must lead by right now for today's burn to end in a rendezvous, then tracks the live phase gap so you can time the burn yourself or let it fire automatically inside the window. If the target's orbit is tilted, the arrival burn also has to bend the chaser's velocity into that plane, and the combined circularize-plus-plane-change delta-v shown reflects that real cost. A starfield of thousands of instanced points and a full orbit-camera give the maneuver room to be seen from any angle.
Navigate a complex 3D environment, ensuring your spacecraft meets the target station within a specific burn phase-angle window.
