Habitat Module Acoustic Privacy Planner

Interactive 3D space habitat layout simulator: position a noise-generating module and a sleep pod along a station corridor, choose partition material, and watch real sound-pressure attenuation (inverse-square spreading plus wall transmission loss) decide whether the crew gets a quiet night.

Lay out a space station corridor in 3D and see, in real decibels, whether a crew sleep pod stays quiet enough. Sound pressure spreads outward from noisy equipment — pumps, fans, the exercise treadmill — following an inverse-square law, and every partition it crosses removes a further fixed amount set by the wall's transmission loss. Move the sleep pod, add bulkheads, and switch materials to watch the sound-pressure wavefront animate down the corridor and the live SPL readout cross NASA's 50 dB sleep-quarters guidance.

⚙ Under the hood

Lay out a space station corridor in 3D and see real decibel readings: sound spreads from noisy equipment by the inverse-square law and loses more through each partition's transmission loss, deciding whether a crew sleep pod stays within NASA's quiet-hours guidance.
