ADSR Envelope Sculptor 2D — Drag-Node Sound Design Lab
Draw and drag the Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release nodes of a 2D ADSR loudness envelope directly on its curve, or use the sliders, and watch a phase-colored playhead, a pulsing impact disc and a scrolling loudness-history strip react in real time — the core tool of cinematic sound design.
Sound design is the craft of shaping how loud a sound is at every instant, not just what frequencies it contains. This 2D simulator exposes the four-stage Attack–Decay–Sustain–Release envelope that drives almost every foley hit, synth note and game audio cue: press and hold the trigger to fire it, adjust Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release with real sliders or by dragging the coloured nodes straight on the envelope curve, and watch a phase-coloured playhead sweep the curve while a pulsing impact disc and a scrolling bar history react live below. Presets recreate a startle hit, a tension swell, a plucked foley note and an ambient pad so you can feel directly how the same underlying model produces four completely different perceived effects.
