Quantum Gyroscope Navigation 2D — Sagnac Interferometer Dead Reckoning
A 2D top-down dead-reckoning navigator: drive a rover through a GPS-denied tunnel and watch a quantum Sagnac-interferometer gyroscope's heading estimate hold steady while a classical MEMS gyroscope's estimate drifts, with a live Sagnac ring schematic and a scrolling error strip-chart.
Drive a rover through a GPS-denied tunnel and watch two heading estimates fight for the truth: a quantum Sagnac-interferometer gyroscope, whose phase shift comes straight from counter-propagating light in a fiber coil and barely drifts, against a classical MEMS gyroscope, whose hidden bias random-walks over time. Both dead-reckon a trajectory from the same true speed and steering input — only the heading source differs — so the growing gap between the solid true path and the dashed estimated path is exactly the cost of sensor bias. This 2D edition adds a top-down pannable/zoomable map, a live schematic of the counter-propagating beams inside the Sagnac ring, and a scrolling strip-chart of heading and position error so the drift is visible both spatially and over time.
