This simulator visualizes the ADD large-extra-dimensions model: a 3-brane carries every particle of the Standard Model, while gravitons alone are free to propagate into n compact bulk dimensions of size R. Gravitational field lines from a source mass spread isotropically through the full bulk close-in, then get corralled back into the brane once they travel farther than R — the mechanism string theory and its brane-world cosmology invoke to explain why gravity is so much weaker than the other forces. Drag the number of extra dimensions, their compactification size, the source mass and a probe distance to watch the measured force ratio and local power-law exponent interpolate live between the deep short-range 1/r^(n+1) law and ordinary 4D 1/r² Newtonian gravity.
