Perovskite Quantum Dot Color-Tuning Kinetics

Interactive 2D simulator of anion-exchange kinetics in CsPbX3 perovskite quantum dots: watch a rotatable nanocrystal ensemble, a bandgap-vs-composition curve and a live kinetics-vs-time chart update together as halide ions interdiffuse toward a target Cl/Br/I mix.

CsPbX₃ perovskite quantum dots are unusual among nanocrystals: their emission color is set not just by particle size but by which halide ion — chloride, bromide or iodide — occupies the crystal lattice, and those halides swap in and out of the structure fast enough to retune a whole batch of dots after synthesis. This simulator renders a rotatable projection of the nanocrystal ensemble alongside two live analysis charts — a bandgap-vs-composition curve (Vegard's law with bowing, plus the quantum-confinement correction for the current crystal size) and a kinetics-vs-time trace of the first-order anion-exchange reaction — so you can see both the color the ensemble is heading toward and exactly how it gets there.
