Javelin Throw Aerodynamics (2D)
Interactive 2D side-view javelin throw simulator: adjust release angle, initial angle of attack and release speed, and watch lift and drag decide whether the javelin flies stable and far or stalls and tumbles early.
This 2D side-view simulator throws a javelin under real lift-and-drag aerodynamics: set the release angle, the initial angle of attack and the release speed, then watch the trajectory unfold left to right against distance markers on the ground. A small angle of attack builds lift and stretches the throw, but as the javelin's nose lags its velocity vector through the arc the angle of attack keeps growing — push it past the stall threshold and the flow separates, drag spikes, and the javelin tumbles out of the sky well short of where a clean throw would land.
A 2D side-view javelin throw simulator where release angle, initial angle of attack and release speed determine whether lift stretches the flight or stall makes the javelin tumble early.
