🧬 Directed Self-Assembly of Block Copolymers

Interactive 3D directed self-assembly (DSA) simulator: watch a block copolymer film microphase-separate into lamellar nanodomains, then compare an undirected fingerprint pattern full of dislocation defects against a chemoepitaxy-guided pattern locked into perfect long-range order.

Anneal a diblock copolymer film and watch it microphase-separate into alternating nanoscale lamellae. Compare an undirected film, which forms a fingerprint pattern riddled with dislocation defects where independent patches meet out of phase, against a film guided by lithographically pre-patterned chemical guide stripes, which locks the same stripes into perfect long-range order.
