Nano Divide Dashboard: Diffusion & Price Curves
Interactive 2D dashboard coupling a Bass diffusion model of technology adoption with a Wright's-law learning curve for falling unit price across three income tiers, showing exactly when — or whether — each tier can afford a new nanotechnology product.
Nanotechnology promises real benefits — better medicine, cleaner water, smarter materials — but who gets access first, and why? This 2D dashboard couples a Bass diffusion model (how a population adopts a new technology through early adopters and peer imitation) with a Wright's-law learning curve (how unit price falls as cumulative production grows) across three income tiers. Three population grids light up dot by dot as each tier crosses its own affordability threshold, while two live charts trace the falling price and the diverging adoption curves over 30 simulated years. Drag the policy-lever sliders — the learning rate, the Bass coefficients, and the affordability gap — or drag directly on the charts to scrub time, and see which interventions close the nano divide fastest and which leave a tier locked out permanently.
