Randomized controlled trials are the backbone of medical research: patients are split by chance into a treatment group and a placebo group so that any difference in outcome can be attributed to the drug rather than to who happened to get it. This simulator randomizes a fresh cohort of patients on every run, applies a dose-dependent drug effect on top of natural placebo variation, and computes a live two-sample t-test comparing the two groups. Adjust sample size, dose and the drug's true potency to see how each reshapes the p-value and the confidence interval around the measured effect — and how easily a small or absent effect can look "significant" in an underpowered trial, or a real effect can be missed.
