🦴 Thyroid Issues in Dogs
A 3D thyroid hormone level simulator with an interactive gland model and a hormone-slider showing how hypothyroidism symptoms map onto metabolism, coat and energy indicators.
An interactive 3D dog model with a glowing thyroid gland at the throat: drag the hormone slider and watch metabolism, heart rate, coat quality and body condition all respond the way real thyroid disease presents in dogs.
🔬 What It Demonstrates
Circulating T4 hormone sets the pace of metabolism. Lower it and the orbiting "energy" particles slow down, the heart rate drops, the coat fades and thins, and the body silhouette thickens — the classic hypothyroid picture. Raise it above normal and the reverse happens.
🎮 How to Use
Drag the T4 hormone slider or tap a preset (Hypothyroid / Normal / Hyperthyroid). Toggle "Reveal gland" to peel back the coat and see the thyroid lobes shrink and pale as hormone output falls. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom.
💡 Did You Know?
Hypothyroidism is the most common canine endocrine disorder, usually from immune-mediated gland destruction, and is managed for life with an inexpensive daily thyroxine tablet.
