Disease Prevention Simulator
Interactive outbreak simulator: watch an infection spread through a moving population and see how vaccination coverage, hygiene and social distancing bend the curve and build herd immunity.
Disease prevention works by cutting the chain of transmission between infectious and susceptible people — through vaccination, hygiene and distance. This simulator models a moving population of agents: infectious people (red) can pass the disease to susceptible ones (blue) on close contact, while vaccinated (cyan) and recovered (green) agents are immune. Adjust vaccination coverage, transmission risk and social distancing to see how each strategy bends the outbreak curve, and watch the effective reproduction number R(t) cross below 1 as herd immunity takes hold.
Interactive 3D outbreak model: a moving population of agents spreads an infection on close contact, while vaccination coverage, transmission risk and social distancing sliders show how each strategy bends the curve and builds herd immunity.
