A local infectious cluster becomes a global emergency at the speed of the flights connecting the world, not the speed of any single country's healthcare system. This simulation places fourteen countries on a globe, links them through a simplified international air-travel network with a few dense aviation hubs, and runs a real coupled epidemic model across it. Pick a new outbreak, then adjust transmissibility, traffic volume and — most importantly — how quickly the international community reacts, to see why global health security is fundamentally a race against the network, not against any one border.
