Carbon-Capture Material Lattice (MOF) — 2D Pore Kinetics
Top-down 2D view of the same MOF pore lattice: CO2 molecules random-walk through a gas chamber and bind to open metal sites, then desorb during the regeneration cycle — watch a live Langmuir-style capture readout build as pores fill and empty.
This 2D companion strips the MOF carbon-capture lattice down to a top-down pore view: CO2 molecules drift and bounce across a gas chamber, stick to open metal sites at a rate set by pore affinity, and release back into the gas phase after a hold time set by the desorption/regeneration rate — the same reversible bind-then-regenerate cycle real direct-air-capture sorbents run, made directly visible instead of orbited in 3D.
