🔬 What It Demonstrates

A hedge or board placed close to the hive entrance forces bees to climb steeply before reaching the boundary, so they cross it well above head height — the everyday engineering behind the legal concept of "reasonable precautions" in nuisance law.

Raise the flyway barrier, pull the hives back from the boundary, or add more hives, and watch the flight path and the traffic-light nuisance-risk indicator respond in real time.

💡 Did You Know?

There is no licence to keep bees in the UK, but courts can still find a beekeeper liable in nuisance if foragers repeatedly and unreasonably interfere with a neighbour's enjoyment of their garden.
