Guard-bee agitation is modelled from proximity, movement style, entrance-to-path angle, hive spacing, smoker use and a flight-path hedge — the same practical levers UK beekeeping guidance recommends for reducing stings.

Slide the approach manner from calm to jerky, rotate hive entrances relative to the footpath, adjust hive spacing, and toggle the smoker and the flight-path hedge. Watch the agitation bar, bee colour and close-encounter counter respond live.

💡 Did You Know?

A hedge or fence roughly head-height in front of a hive entrance forces bees to gain altitude before they reach a path, turning a low, disruptive flight line into a high, unnoticed one.
