A beekeeper's van does its rounds between out-apiaries scattered across a mobile not-spot, collecting field records locally at every stop and uploading them in a burst only when it drives back within range of the signal mast.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Field records (feeding checks, treatment notes, weight readings) are captured offline the instant they happen and queue as a local buffer. Nothing is lost while out of range — the queue simply drains in a sync burst the moment signal returns.

🎮 How to Use

Adjust the signal mast's coverage range, the number of apiary stops on the round, and the van's speed. Toggle the coverage overlay to see the not-spot boundary, and watch buffered records (amber cubes) sync once the van re-enters the green zone.

💡 Did You Know?

Ofcom's own coverage maps show that a large share of rural UK farmland — exactly where hedgerows, orchards and moorland edges make good bee forage — still has partial or no mobile signal, which is why offline-first record-keeping is standard advice for out-apiaries.
