This 2D companion drives the same leader-and-chain steering as the 3D version on a plain canvas: only the elephant at the front (marked with a star) seeks the point you click, and every elephant behind it steers toward a fixed offset behind the elephant directly ahead of it, so nudging the leader sends the whole line snaking after it a beat later, the way a real elephant family trails its matriarch.
