🧪 Volcano Lava Kick Car Simulator (2D)
Top-down 2D bicycle-model car physics on volcanic terrain: tune engine power, tire grip and vehicle mass, dodge lava vents that overheat the engine, and ram basalt boulders.
This 2D companion swaps the 3D version's raycast suspension for a textbook top-down bicycle model: front and rear cornering stiffness derive from vehicle mass, weight distribution and a tunable tire-grip coefficient, so oversteer and understeer emerge from the same slip-angle mathematics used in real vehicle dynamics texts rather than from scripted drift. Engine power, tire grip and vehicle mass are all live sliders — push grip down and mass up and the car understeers wide through corners; push power up with grip low and the rear end breaks loose under throttle. Eight lava vents scattered across the basalt field raise an on-screen heat gauge the longer the car idles inside one, stalling the engine for a moment if it maxes out, while a dozen boulders of varying mass give the ramming impulse response something to push against.
2D top-down bicycle-model vehicle dynamics: slip-angle-based tire forces, a live engine power / tire grip / vehicle mass panel, lava-vent heat hazard, and mass-weighted boulder collisions.
