Similarity Network Fusion 2D: Multi-Omics Patient Subtyping
A 2D matrix-and-graph view of Similarity Network Fusion (SNF): watch per-layer patient-affinity matrices cross-diffuse into one fused network, drag-pan the force-directed subtype graph, and track a live signal-separation curve as genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic layers correct each other iteration by iteration.
A 2D matrix-and-graph companion to the 3D SNF simulator: the same Similarity Network Fusion algorithm — self-tuning Gaussian affinity, KNN-sparsified local views, iterative cross-diffusion of each layer through the consensus of the others — is rendered here as four live similarity-matrix heatmaps (one per omics layer plus the fused result), a draggable 2D force-directed patient graph, and a signal-separation curve traced across all 21 fusion depths in a single pass, so the mechanism of noise-washing and signal-strengthening is visible both in the numbers and in the layout.
