🧪 Creative Inspiration Design Process

This simulator models where creative ideas actually come from: not a spark out of nowhere, but two familiar concepts connected through a chain of association. A 48-node network of everyday concepts, grouped into six domains, carries spreading activation from two randomly chosen seeds until their waves meet at a shared node — the "idea." The path between the seeds is scored for coherence (does the chain still make sense?) and novelty (how far did it have to travel?), combining into a single creativity score modeled on Boden's theory of combinatorial creativity. Adjust how far apart the seed concepts start and how quickly activation decays to see the trade-off between obvious and far-fetched inspiration play out live.
