This simulator renders eight fictional-but-representative entities — headquarters, wholly-owned plants, a majority joint venture, a minority joint venture, a franchise network, an external supplier hub and a leased office portfolio — as a stacked bar chart, then lets you switch between the GHG Protocol's three organizational-boundary methods (equity share, operational control, financial control) and watch the included set, and its total, change in real time. A second chart tracks a science-based decarbonization pathway against a business-as-usual trend as you scrub the reporting year from 2024 to the 2050 net-zero horizon (via slider or by dragging directly on the chart), making visible why boundary choice, not just reduction effort, can swing a headline emissions number by a wide margin.
