🌍 Water Contaminant Risk Assessment: 3D Treatment Train

Orbit a full 3D source-to-tap pipeline as lead, arsenic and PFAS particles migrate from the aquifer through coagulation, GAC, reverse osmosis and ion exchange, then land at a compliance-checked tap.

This is a genuine 3D companion to the 2D "Water Contaminant Risk Assessment" panel simulation, ported directly from its source formulas rather than reskinned: the same source-concentration curve (lead = 2 + level×3.3, arsenic = 5 + level×7.2, PFAS = 8 + level×18.5 ppb/ppt), the same blended plant-removal fractions (lead 8%, arsenic 74%, PFAS 88%), the same per-zone capture-probability matrix across coagulation/flocculation, granular activated carbon, reverse osmosis and ion exchange, and the same EPA regulatory thresholds (lead action level 15 ppb, arsenic MCL 10 ppb, PFOA+PFOS MCL 4.0 ppt) all drive a real three-dimensional pipeline you can orbit freely instead of a flat staged panel. Individually colored contaminant particles — grey lead, orange arsenic, magenta PFAS — travel from an aquifer source through four distinct treatment-zone reactors rendered as real 3D geometry (a rotating coagulation paddle, a granular-media point cloud for GAC, stacked membrane discs for reverse osmosis, and a resin-bead cloud for ion exchange), get captured zone-by-zone according to the ported probability matrix, and whatever reaches the tap is checked live against the MCL thresholds. A population grid beyond the tap tints itself by exposure risk, and toggling the LSL Replacement Program control zeroes the lead service-line spike exactly as remediation would in the real distribution network.

⚙ Under the hood

A real 3D Three.js/WebGL treatment-train pipeline — orbit and zoom freely as lead, arsenic and PFAS particles migrate from aquifer to tap through coagulation, GAC, reverse osmosis and ion exchange zones, each removing contaminants at the ported real-world probability the 2D original uses.
