Honeybee foragers don't pick flowers at random. This simulator visualizes a colony of foragers leaving a central hive to search a meadow of blue/violet, yellow/white and red flowers, each scored on colour attractiveness, nectar quality and distance from home. Foragers weigh those factors, fly to the best option within range, forage, and carry nectar back — settling into "flower constancy" on one colour much like real bees do. Adjust foraging range, flower diversity and colour preference strength to see how each reshapes which flowers get visited and how much nectar the colony brings home.
