Honeybee Colony Health Threats Simulator

Interactive 3D beehive simulator: watch a colony of bees respond as Varroa mite load, viral spread and brood thermoregulation effort interact to raise or wreck colony health, with treatment, mite pressure and thermoregulation tunable in real time.

A honeybee colony's health is a running balance between parasites, pathogens and the colony's own regulatory ability. This simulator visualizes a hive with a flying population of bees whose composition shifts in real time: as Varroa mite pressure rises and goes untreated, more bees carry mites and viral load climbs toward the level that pressure sets, while low brood-thermoregulation effort lets the nest temperature drift away from its ~34.5°C setpoint and damages brood independently. Colony health, viral load, brood temperature and active population all update live as you adjust mite pressure, monitoring/treatment intensity and thermoregulation effort — reset the colony at any point to compare how different management choices play out from a clean start.

Interactive 3D beehive with a live bee population: tune Varroa mite pressure, monitoring/treatment intensity and brood thermoregulation effort to see how viral spread and temperature drift push colony health up or down.
