A 3D hive cutaway turns mite counts, brood pattern quality, adult mortality and visible symptoms into a single weighted risk score, then routes that score through a decision tree to recommend a treatment step.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Each input contributes a weighted share of a 0–100 risk score shown on a colour-coded gauge. American Foulbrood always forces the most urgent branch of the decision tree, regardless of score, mirroring real reportable-disease protocols.

🎮 How to Use

Drag the mite, brood pattern and mortality sliders and pick a visible symptom. Watch mites appear on the comb, brood cells darken, the dead-bee pile grow, and the gauge needle plus recommendation panel update live.

💡 Did You Know?

Many extension services recommend treating when a sugar/alcohol wash finds more than about 3 mites per 100 bees during active season — a threshold this simulation's scoring builds on.
